The Hedgehog Haven Essex receives NO funding and we rely solely on your donations. Fundraising is vital if we are to continue feeding and caring for our sick and injured hedgehogs.
We rescue around 400 hedgehogs a year and our annual bill totals £11,000 - this includes food, medication and vet bills. We CANNOT do this without your help!
We urgently need your donations to allow us to continue caring for hedgehogs, who face a bleak future of extinction.
We attend as many local fetes & shows as we can, fundraising and giving out help and advice. Why not come along and visit us at our next show? Our stall provides advice and information leaflets, hedgehog merchandise and a great Tombola!
We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help us at the Haven - please contact us if you have a few hours to spare.
We also desperately need old towels, newspapers with the staples removed and shredded paper as we use huge amounts of these every day. If you are able to donate any of these to the Haven, please contact us.
Our volunteers regularly give short talks on Hedgehogs to local schools or scout groups for a small donation. Please contact us if you would like to book a talk, or for more information.
